I have decided to go back to talking about literature. on Monday. I mean, who doesn't love literacy? (<- that was a rhetorical question by the way)
Poems.
That is what I want to talk about.
And so I shall.
What are poems?
A bunch of rhyming words?
Just another type of writing that no one cares about?
No. They aren't. And unless if I'm no one, then people care about poetry. Yes, world, I love poetry. Check out my "Howls" section if you didn't know that before.
You know that saying that "eyes are the windows to the soul"? I think that this applies to poems too. I honestly vent through poetry, and usually, those pieces turn out pretty well, though a few angry scratches sometimes make that piece undecipherable. Regardless, poems are like open doors. Everyone has a mask - that is like the exterior of a house. When someone writes a poem, they unlock the main door to the house to let others explore the inside. Where the true feelings are. Each word of the poem is another piece of furniture, another wall, another decoration. Some people think that poems are stupid. Are they? Are they a bunch of "pointless", "useless", "time-wasting" and "rhyming" words pasted together? No, they are not.
In fact they are the opposite.
Now, I don't want to write out of ideas and have blogger's block again, so to give you some insight on next week, I will be discussing why poems are absolutely amazing next Monday. Please comment what you think I should write about for "literacy day"!
